Work, parenting, technology... we live in a world that hurries us along at a pace that doesn't feel sustainable. We've found that sitting with your people and making something with your hands manages to slow the pace for a while. We hope to make creativity feel accessible, social and unhurried.Â
If Gather & Create can make that feeling happen for you, then we have done exactly what we set out to do.
We love what we do...
At our heart, is a belief that creativity doesn't need to be complicated or result in perfectly finished pieces. It is the doing and the being that feeds our soul and mind. Sitting around with good people, a pretty table and creating something is our favourite dopamine hit. Bringing ideas to life and having a hand in making memories = *chef's kiss*Â
Plus, we love whimsy. All the whimsy.
Minimising waste isn't just a trend - it's essential for protecting our environment and future generations. By choosing to reuse, repurpose and rethink what we consume and throw away, we reduce our environmental footprint. Giving materials a second life by using them in craft is a beautiful example of this in action.Â

At Gather & Create we are guided by principles of sustainability and ethical consumerism. We use ethically sourced and reusable materials as much as we can. Some of the ways you'll see this is by:

handcrafting our picnic tables from recycled/reclaimed timber

sourcing preloved items for table decoration, cushions and setups

sewing pillowcases, décor, tablecloths and table runners from preloved fabric

replacing usually disposable items with reusable options like ceramic dishes for paint palettes, jars to hold water instead of paper cups, fabric napkins

creating craft packages based on reusing common household "rubbish" items

purchasing secondhand glasses and vessels for paint parties
